Paper on: Brazil’s presidential elections … The right expands at the expense of the left
Tawfiq Abdel SadeqAbstract: The paper aims to highlight the context of the right-wing access to power in Brazil, after years of left-wing Labor rule, and the subsequent arrival of other left-wing parties to power in other South American countries (Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina and Uruguay…). To examine the possible political and developmental implications of this new rise of the extreme right described in the extreme of the future of the emerging country of Brazil, and the prospects for the continuation of the rule of democracy and the peaceful transfer of power in the country and perhaps the region as a whole.
